Innovative Fuel - Tire Derived Fuel (TDF)

Innovative Fuel is a project of Hardbone International Pvt. Ltd. The aim of establishing Innovative Fuel is to improve environment and quality of life, to create jobs and to increase productivity and economic growth by providing opportunities to divert waste tires from landfill disposal, prevent illegal tire dumping, and promote markets for recycled-content tire products.

Tire-derived-fuel (TDF) is a fuel derived from scrap tires of all kinds. Scrap tires are used as a fuel in shredded form depending on the type of combustion unit, it can be mixed with coal (or other fuels that are burnt) to create energy for use in cement kilns, power stations and paper mills, which use incinerators to create their energy.

Scrap tires are also used for oil recovery in Pyrolysis plants. We provide shredded tires and scrap tires to all industries especially in cement sector and pyrolysis plants all over Pakistan.

As compare to other fuels , Tire Derived Fuel is less expensive and its use reduces cost of production.TDF has a fairly good potential compared to some other fuel sources.

More Heating Value

Scrap tire-derived fuel, or TDF, is used because of its high heating value. Compared to other commonly used solid fuels, the heating value is 25-50% higher than coal and 100-200% higher than wood.

Save Environment

Tire Derived Fuel is environmentally sound method of disposal of scrap tires.Tires sent to landfills or dumped illegally are a significant concern. Old tires provide shelter for rodents, and can trap water, providing a breeding ground for mosquitoes.

Saves Oil & Energy

Use of Tire Derived Fuel as an alternate fuel saves precious natural resources like oil and gas for other energy requirements.Moreover, Oil is also recovered from scrap tires through Pyrolysis Plants.
